CrowdConsortium: A national organization to support research and deployment of crowdsourcing for cultural heritage institutions. The aim of the Crowd Consortium is to bring together libraries, archives, and museums in order to effectively use crowdsourcing techniques to increase what we know about artifacts held in national collections and to enhance the public experience of libraries, archives, and museums. The Consortium is a forum that enables all interested stakeholders to join a national conversation about the most pressing needs and challenges regarding the development and deployment of crowdsourcing technologies in the cultural heritage domain.
Join us to bridge disciplines across the arts, social sciences, humanities, and sciences to explore the future of crowdsourcing. It’s free and we’ll only send out occasional updates.
The Crowd Consortium initiative is hosting a series of meetings and webinars to collect, examine, and share the most recent, cutting-edge technologies, tools, and platforms and accompanying best practices in the field. We’ve collected information about the state of the field. See the results from our Fall 2014 Environmental Scan and Crowdsourcing Opinions and Insights.
